Meeting Overview:

Teachers:

We were thrilled to introduce our head teacher, Jessica Radovich. We’ll be putting her photo and bio on the website very soon!

We are completing interviews for the assistant teacher this week and hope to have hired someone in the coming weeks.

Space update:

We now have a renovation plan– including painting, room expansion, lighting improvement. We also have a layout plan for the space as well that we are happy to share with you if you missed the meeting. We have secured the church’s backyard as outside play space and will incorporate open ended items and a sand box into this natural space. We are moving forward with safety improvements (security, fire, air, etc) and securing our license over the coming months. One of our parents is graciously working to create some beautification for the space, and we are beginning to order our furniture, toys, and supplies for the classroom.

We will have two work days in the summer (June 26th and July 17th) for families to help paint, clear the outdoor space, put furniture together, and get the space ready. More details to come; please mark your calendars.

Deposits, Enrollment, and Tuition:

Rolling Deposits (or security deposits) are due on May 25th to secure your place for the 2010 program. Rolling deposits are held until you leave the school & equal one month’s tuition. Additionally, the first tuition payment towards the 2010 year is due on June 10th and will equal 3 months tuition. See below for the tuition details.

TUITION OVERVIEW

The annual payment plan for our founding years is below; payments are nonrefundable and are for 11 months of preschool whether or not you attend all 11 months. There is no preschool the month of August.

Our tuition includes our adjunct offerings–a minimum of 4 months of classes with outside music, dance, or yoga teachers, a healthy snack, and 2, 3, or 5 days from 8:30-12:30 at the CSS with two teachers, a teacher’s assistant,  and a total of 15 children in the class. In addition to our 2 teachers, the classroom will have a teacher’s assistant in the room; this will be an intern, parent volunteer, and community volunteers, making a total of at least three adults in the room with 15 students a day.

We require a rolling deposit of one month’s tuition when your child is accepted. This is due at the time of acceptance and will be held until your child leaves our school. It does not count towards tuition. Assuming that you are up to date on your payments and late fees at the time you leave the CCS, we will reimburse this deposit.

Monthly Tuition (2, 3, & 5 day)     315,    473,    788

Annual Tuition (2, 3, & 5 day) 3465,    5203,    8668

Work Study & Volunteers

We love volunteers and want to involve parents in all ways possible. If you want to be in the classroom once a month as a teacher’s assistant, if you are a yogi and want to share yoga, if you love to do art or read stories and want to do this with our class, then, please let us know and we are happy to support you in bringing your passion and skill to CCS!

In year one, we can offer a limited number of Work Study options. Work Study is a contractual agreement for a tuition break in exchange for a commitment over an academic year (11 months) to do a specific job. If you are interested in a tuition reduction please contact us and we can work together to create a Work Study position that matches your skill set with the schools needs in the coming year.
