Payments are nonrefundable and are for the duration of the September to July school year of preschool whether or not you attend the entire school year. We are closed for the month of August.
Once accepted, we require a Security/Rolling Deposit (equal to one month’s tuition) to secure your enrollment; this must be accompanied by enrollment forms (Enrollment Agreeement and Emergency Contact Information). This will be held until your child leaves our school. It does not count towards tuition. If you are up to date on your payments at the time you leave the CCS, we will reimburse this deposit.
Our tuition includes our adjunct offerings–several months of classes with outside music, dance, or yoga teachers– a healthy snack, and 2,3, or 5 days from 8:30-12:30 at the CCS with two teachers and a total of 15 children in the class. We will have a teacher’s assistant in the room as well; totaling three adults.
Work Study Positions & Scholarship Fund
We offer a limited number of work study options for tuition reduction. Please let us know if you are interested, and we will work with you to tailor a work study position that works for everyone.
As we move forward we will apply for grants and undertake fund raising to support a scholarship fund. We currently have a fundraising event planned for November 2011 with a national mindfulness teacher; a percentage of the proceeds for this event will go towards supporting CCS’ scholarship fund or community outreach. When we have our license as a daycare center, students eligible for state and federal daycare support will be able to use this to attend CCS.
In certain circumstances, we will work with families to develop an alternative payment plan.
Additional Information
We welcome payment in full for the full year at the start of the academic year or any point in the year. Anyone able to do this will help insure our financial stability as a new school.
All students will begin the year with an EASE-IN Program. This program is designed to assist children as they learn to separate from their caregivers and discover a happy place for themselves in our learning environment.
In the future we plan to integrate an afterschool program, or partnership to support this need, a scholarship fund, and to add a class for four and five year olds from 8:30am -2:30pm.
Late Payment
CCS will charge a $30 late fee for each payment not paid by the 5th business day of the month tuition is due. We will add an additional $5 for every 2 business days that the tuition is late beyond that.
