Hello families!

News: A reminder to mail your child’s flower art in to CCS if you would like! Stephanie will create a collage that families will be able to see whenever we reopen.

Patterns Week 1:

  • Using descriptive language with children, exposing them to words describing size, shape, color, weight, texture, flavor, etc.

  • Skill we will be focusing on this week: Sorting by single attribute

Activity: Sorting by type of toy is a useful clean up skill and one that Oaksters have lots of practice at from school. Have several bins on hand to offer the different options. Does it go in the colored pencil bin, block bin, or on the puzzle shelf? You can also simplify the activity by sorting by only one attribute: is it a colored pencil or not a colored pencil?
