Hello Magnolia families,

We are excited to tell you about our plans for the end of the year – we will be having both an in-person socially-distanced porch ceremony on Thursday, June 25 and a final Zoom on June 26. Here are details for both:

Socially-distanced porch ceremony: Thursday, June 25

We are offering a porch ceremony at Teacher Rachel’s childhood home, on Rachel’s dad’s / Teacher Marcy’s joint porch (although kids will mostly be on the sidewalk in front of the house.) Kids will get to cross a bridge (a tradition at CCS), say hello to their teachers, and receive some end-of-school goodbye gifts. Kids will have a 10 minute slot for their ceremony, and then there will be a 10-minute buffer between children to allow us to reset and make sure everything is sanitary.

FINAL GROUP ZOOM:

Join us for our final whole-group Zoom! We will sing, talk about memories, and say goodbye to the school year together. We will send out a link when we get closer to the day.

We hope to see you all there! Please let us know if you have any questions or if you are having scheduling difficulties. We also want to note that not everyone will be comfortable with attending an in-person ceremony, which is completely understandable and is why we’re holding both!

Warmly,

Rachel Ford and Patricia Houston
