Hello Forest Friend Families,
It’s Teacher Sarah! Today I have read one of my favorite books growing up called When Pigasso Met Mootisse. It’s a story about artists Picasso and Matisse as a pig and bull, respectively, and it’s very silly while sharing their colorful painting styles.
Matisse-inspired art collage activity:
Children can paint with solid blocks of color on paper that then gets cut into any and all the shapes they want. Then glue the shapes onto another colorful paper. This collage gives them hands-on learning about Matisse, as well as developing fine motor skills, learning colors, and creative expression. Send me your collages, I’d love to see them!
Warmly,
Teacher Sarah
