Hello Forest Friend Families,
It’s Teacher Sarah! It was wonderful to see so many faces last week on our zoom call. Thanks to all who joined!
Today, I read a book called The Very Quiet Cricket by Eric Carle. In relation to this book, I am also offering an Animal Sounds game that can help parents control noise levels at home, described below:
Animal Sounds! to control noise levels through game:
It’s challenging for children to go from very loud to very quiet immediately, as they’ll be more responsive to adjusting noise level in stages.
You can encourage calmer bodies and voices by first having them roar like a lion, then bark like a dog, meow like a cat, chirp like a bird, squeak like a mouse, then finally try to be as quiet as the very quiet cricket.
Hope you enjoy the book reading and let me know how the animal sounds game worked! Wishing you all the best.
Warmly,
Sarah
