Hello families!

News:  If you’re looking for something to watch we suggest the: Superfest Disability Film Festival Kids Showcase which will be held this today 1:30-2:30 via Zoom!

Patterns Week 2:

Focus for the week:

  • Offering children tactile experiences where they experience differing attributes, while teachers narrate the experience (offering children a chance to hold a heavy rock, describing the different attributes of shape blocks, etc.)

Activity:  Sorting blocks by triangles, circles, and rectangles, builds a child’s ability to recognize and differentiate shape, while supporting their building skills! Through building with blocks of different shapes, your child is learning spatial awareness and planning which are useful early math concepts.

Today’s Video: Teacher Maddie sorts blocks by triangles, circles, and rectangles and builds towers out of each type of block.

Best,

Oak Teachers
